Welcome to the new CarolinaShooter site. CarolinaShooter is the site for Sam H. Shock's fireams training in Pickens SC. The new layout is being designed to provide more information in an easy to use format. Please be patient as we finish the pages for the various courses including the South Carolina Concealable Weapons Permit, SC DNR Hunter Education, Basic and Instructor level NRA courses, and NRA Range Safety Officer.
There a SC CWP FAQ page to help you understand the handgun and deadly force laws of SC as well as the process for obtaining a carry permit.
Of course there is a Links page to guide you toward related sites and an archive of gun related news with regularly posted updates.
There has been a surge in applications for Concealed Weapons Permits in South Carolina as well as many other states. The Hunter Education course remains popular also. Members of the Pickens Resue Squad organized a Hunter Education course in March of 2009 in which 67 participants attended and completed the course.
We are always happy to work with groups wishing to take any offered course. If you have a group of friends, co-workers, or other organization, you can enjoy a day of learning together.
